How Often Should I Pray?

Thank you in advance for your service and dedication to lift up the men, women and children in your communities before God in your prayers.

When you pray for others you indeed will be blessed now.

Those desiring to pray for their family, friends, neighbors, community members, and/or congregations, both known and unknown by name, may want to consider inviting the Holy Spirit to lead your intercessory prayers for their individual, family and corporate needs.

As a suggestion, allowing the Holy Spirit to intercede on behalf of each individual for a suggested period of 5 minutes should allow sufficient time for you to cover most prayer needs.

Some subjects you may want to cover in your prayers for others are divine protection, a double portion of wisdom, renewed visions, abundant financial and physical blessings, unlimited strength, His peace that passes all understanding, an opening of each individual’s eyes and ears to a spiritual awareness of God’s plan and purpose in their lives, in addition to intercessory prayers for their families, congregations and corporate prayers.

These subjects and others can be a part of your effective intercessory prayer ministry for others.

Even though you may not know each individual you are praying for, 

God does know each one and each need beforehand so if you ask Him to send His Spirit, 

He will direct you in the knowledge of what to pray for.

Besides these, you may think of other needs they may need and prayerfully consider being led by Holy Spirit to speak to them in your prayers.

Specifically, you may even want to ask yourself this, “What would I want others praying for me to pray for?”

Again, praise God for you and your willingness to sacrifice your time and energy and do one of the most important things you could do for God that He can’t do by himself – asking Him to send His spirit to draw each of those you pray for closer to Him.
